The Ogoh-ogoh Parade at Melaya Village

So now let me tell to you all The Ogoh-ogoh that come out and follow the Parade at Melaya Village. Before that I just want to mentions how many small village that at the scope of Melaya Village.

From the Ogoh-ogoh which involved at this Parade that I know there was seven Ogoh-ogoh that come from "Banjar" Melaya Pasar, Pangkung dedari, Meleya tengah kaja, Melaya tengah kelod, Melaya Krajan, Melaya Pantai, Melaya.

The enthusiastic that come from Melaya community and around the Melaya Village, next the Ogoh-ogoh Parade stated from 04.00 p. m. but the whole Melaya community have been come before the time some of them come early caused want to take a place and so it's made easy to watching.

And caused this a special event that only occurred once a year, and also in Bali the school get holiday during the time started from one day before it's for the Hindu People to do the "Melasti" ceremony. this year the school at Jembrana Regency got 3rd days for holiday. So many people come not just want to watching but also want to made gathering with the family and friends, also it's good time for small merchant for selling them product like traditional foods.

Usually every year the Ogoh-ogoh Parade started at 06.00 p. m. but this year they started the Parade earlier caused they got the official notification circular about the management of Parade at Jembrana Regency. 

The excitement are also evident from the face of the younger and young women that have been involved in the activity. When they lifting the Ogoh-ogoh sometime they not just bring it but also they made attraction turning the Ogoh-ogoh, sometime one of the youth that bring made up the Ogoh-ogoh. It's all made the Parade more interested to show, though tired but all happy.

On this moment the Parade used the route from "Pangkung dedari" to "Melaya pasar" and this will end at the "Pura Dalam Melaya". and if you asking what will happen to the Ogoh-ogoh it's all will burned at the other side of Temple courtyard.

The Ogoh-ogoh Parade before Silence Day

To day every one on Bali Island was have a mazing day, cause to day every district on Bali, especially on the Hindu people will have The Ogoh-ogoh ceremony for the ceremony on the hindu religion preparation before the silence day.

On my Village the name is Melaya village there several Ogoh-ogoh that will come out to the followed the Ogoh-ogoh parade, totaly there  seven Ogoh-ogoh that come out.

Where the Ogoh-ogoh come from, well every come small village and in Bali every small village the call it "Banjar" have a "Seka Truna-Truni" it's a small cell of youth community, that was excised at the Banjar for development the Hindu tradition such as like teaching Bali dancing to the small girls or boys at the small village. Many good activity that have been done at the Seka Truna-Truni and one of that it's made Ogoh-ogoh.

At my place and near with my home there was a "Bale Banjar" it's like plces for the community to gathering, and in hear the youth community used as the back camp to made The Ogoh-ogoh. 

The material of Ogoh-ogoh it's was several time changing development with the art and the existence of the material. Long time ago my friend tell to me The Ogoh-ogoh used material from the rice straw and the face of Ogoh-ogoh made from the forest timber,  also used to cause it's very heavy so them usually lay down on the cart that made from timber and also heavy too :)

But for now the Ogoh-ogoh material more portable and the design more attractive with many colours and hue, Now they used styrofoam to the body and it's more simple to construction and for the colouring them used the acrylic colours so the finished looked more soft and light. 

On the Ogoh-ogoh parade usually the youth community using the costume like a t-shit that have the print title of them community name, and also when they carried the Ogoh-ogoh to follow the parade some of them will playing gamelan or in bali they call it's "tabuh" to accompany the Ogoh-ogoh.

Well the challenge time it's at the Festival time used to the Hindu people using ceremony dress like "kebaya" and "kamben" for the women and "udeng" and "sarung" for every men. so how wonderful the colors of that day. 

To open the Ogoh-ogoh Parade they used them Children group Ogoh-ogoh that bring them small ogoh-ogoh, but cause they still small child so them parent come in to helping and giving them spirit to follow the parade. and it's become interesting caused the mother helping the child and sometime funny things happened and persuade laughter on the audience.

The second sequence is the operation them usually used the car with the people that tell the story about the images of the Ogoh-ogoh, and also they tell to the audience to take a safety place to watching and also the sequence of the Ogoh-ogoh Parade at the day.

Tenun Jembrana

Salah satu kabupaten yang ada di bali wilayah bagian barat dari pulau bali ada Kabupaten Jembrana.

Nah..kabupaten jembrana ini merupakan tempat kelahiran saya, sebagai seorang warga yang lahir di Kabupaten jembrana saya sangat bangga dengan kabupaten Jembrana yang saat ini telah mengalami perkembangan dalam bidang kesenian, ekonomi, pendidikan dan kesehatan.

Well kabupaten jembrana ini berjarak sekitar 3 sampai dengan 4 jam dari kota denpasar.

Untuk wilayah Jembrana itu sendiri terdiri atas sebuah kota yang terdekat yang namanya kota Negara.

Sebagai warga kabupaten jembrana aku bangga karena kota Negara ini sendiri merupakan kota kebanggan warga Jembrana, dimana dikota ini menjadi pusat pemerintahan dari kabupaten Jembrana.

Dari perkembangan masa kemasa kabupaten jembrana ini memiliki populasi penduduk yang beraneka ragam latar belakang dan pekerjaannya.

Selain Jembrana terkenal sebagai kabupaten yang bersih karna pernah mendapat beberapa kali penghargaan adipura.

Jembrana juga terkenal dengan masyarakatnya yang ramah terhadap orang yang datang berkunjung sehingga tak heran jika masyarakat yang hidup di wilayah jembrana adalah masyarakat yang majemuk.

Untuk masyarakat pribumi dari wilayah jembrana ini terkenal dengan penghasil kain tenun yang sangat indah.

 Adapun motiv-motiv  kain tenun ini dikerjakan secara tradisional dengan peralatan manual dari lingkungan terkecil dalam kehidupan rumah tangga masyarakat jembrana.

Kebanyakan atau hapir sebagian besar pengerjaan kain tenun ini dilakukan oleh para ibu rumah tangga maupun ibu-ibu yang sudah berusia lanjut

Salah satu alasan wanita yang mengerjakan hal ini juga termasuk dalam budaya masyarakat yang ada pada zaman itu. Pada waktu perkembangan seni kain tenun jembrana ini.

Adalah suatu hal yang tidak biasa pada maza itu jika seorang wanita yang bertumbuh dari sebuah kelurga yang ada di wilayah jembrana apabila wanita atau gadis tersebut tidak bisa menggunakan alat tenun tradisional.

Kemungkinan besar hal ini yang menyebabkan masyarakat pada umumnya yang berkembangan menjadi sebuah komunitas menggaanggap adalah sangat penting apabila seorang wanita ataupun gadis agar bisa menggunakan mesin tenun sebagai bagian dari pendidikan dalam membangaun kecintaan terhadap kebudayaan seni tenun.

Seiring perjalanana waktu yang ada tradisi menenun berkembang di dalam keluarga yang ada di masyarakat jembrana.

Kegiatan menenun merupakan bagian dari cara untuk mengembangkan kreativitas yang ada pada diri seorang penen kain, pemilihan warna dan pembuatan motiv tenun pada kain merupakan proses yang memerlukan ketelitian dan konsentrasi yang sangat tinggi.

Adapun latar belakang pemilihan motiv kain tenunan juga mengandung nilai-nilai budaya yang berkembang bersama dengan pertambahan usia seni menenun kain itu sendiri.

Saya sangat salut pada kaum perempuan Jembrana yang sangat menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai budaya serta sejarah akan perkembangan kain tenun jembrana ini.

Menenun menjadi budaya yang berkembang di dalam komunitas wanita jembrana pada masa itu dimana hasilnya yang masih dapat kita nikamati dengan begitu banyaknya hasil karya yang ada di wilayah jembrana yang adalah warisan yang sangat mahal harganya ini.
